Superb Craft Ideas Using NZ Shop Bits And Pieces
Teens are fantastically creative and love craft. I have always loved seeing the creations of my own kids using NZ shop bought items.
Here are several ideas that youths can have lots of fun with :
1. Create your own lip gloss. By adding kool-aid powder with Vaseline, you can create one or two flavours of lip gloss. Melt the Vaseline in the microwave. Try it thirty seconds at a time. Mix the kool-aid and microwave another time, again half a minute. Mix and then permit to chill. Once its cool enough to touch, move the Vaseline into its final storage container and allow to chill totally. You won’t find these at any NZ Shop.
2. Do Not purchase gift wrap and gift tags from your NZ shop. Rubber stamps can create the most wonderful wrapping paper and gift tags. We use both ink pads and also pens on our stamps. The white glossy wrapping paper and gift tags can be acquired through a paper provider. We actually buy little cards and then punch holes in them, for gift tags. With corner punchers you create smashing outleines on the gift cards. We also love making greeting cards with rubber stamps.
3. Candy plants. Commence with a pot. Paint or decorate to your taste. Put foam in the bottom of the pot. Now create the plant with a range of candy, wire and sticks. You may also add crepe flowers. Use hard lollies or chocolate kisses to cover the plastic.
4. Kids love to make clothing. Sewing fabric onto the bottom of trousers, also the pockets of trousers can create days of thrills.
5. Teens love to scrapbook. My own daughter can infrequently take enough photos in 24 hours for a complete album. They can scrapbook any activity or club they belong to. They can also take photos at sports games and scrapbook those. The ideas for a teen and a scrapbook are unlimited at a great NZ shop.
6. Knitting and knitting. You will find thousands of free designs online or at your neighbourhood NZ shop. Teens can make everything from bears, to boxes, to clothes. With string, rather than yarn, you can make bedspreads and table decorations. With rug yarn, you can make a rug for your bathroom or lounge.
7. Bulletin-boards to hang on the NZ shop wall. My child loves her bulletin boards. Buy a simple wood frame board. The wood can be painted or decorated to the teenagers liking. Photos or poems or even homework can be put up on the notice board once finished.
This is just a tiny sample of the assorted craft you can suggest to your Teens when next at your NZ Shop .
