There’s a horror movie that I once watched entitled “Darkness Falls” and the characters there have this unusual fear of darkness. A doctor in the movie suggested that the best way to kill the fear is to confront the source of fear itself. And so, if a person is afraid of the dark, the cure would be shrouding him in total darkness till he realizes for himself that there’s nothing to fear.
That’s the dumbest suggestion to make as the physicians weren’t aware that they’ve got a supernatural nemesis to combat. But in reality, that just may prove to be the antidote to all our credit check phobias.

Imagine when your credit card gets denied in front of a lot of people, people whom you especially want to impress. That sucks, right? It’s no doubt what people feel too whenever their requests for mortgage extensions are denied due to negative results from credit checks. It sometimes makes you want to cry, doesn’t it?

That’s mainly one of the reasons why credit checks have such a negative impact on people, specifically when the results aren’t what you’re hoping for. Don’t view credit checks as some personal vendetta of credit companies against you. That’s pure rubbish. Credit checks are part of SOP and not even the President can escape it if he wants to borrow a relatively substantial amount of money. Don’t hate the bearer of bad news and believe that he’s getting fun out of it. Why would he when a customer lost means profit lost also?

Get Down To Business
The ideal solution is not waiting for someone to do a credit check on you. It should be YOU doing the first credit check on your finances so you can clean up any mess that can be cleaned. That way, when someone does need to perform a credit check, not even one particle of dust would appear. But like I said, that’s ideal. If someone did make a credit check on your financial status and things didn’t come up smelling like roses, DON’T panic. It’s not end of the world. Yes, it may seem so especially if you badly need that car loan but it’s not the end of the world.
