Wedding Planning Tips

To a person entering a lifelong commitment, it is already too much to think about. The groom or the bride is probably perspiring to death that one deodorant is not enough. To make things worse, because you haven’t planned for this wedding well the whole reception has become a circus. To reduce your problems and to prevent your whole wedding reception and wedding itself to be total circus, here are some advices that one may consider.

Be sure that the clergy or the person to officiate the wedding is available. Also make sure that the place you would like to set the wedding is also available. The worst thing that could happen is let some old hippy marry you right under the sun. But it’s the symbolism of marriage that’s important anyway. Ask about the dates if the site is free during the time you desire. Other things that factor in are added costs such as site fees, permits, restrictions, etc. After those things have been settled you would now have to deal with the songs, vows and attendants you would want.

If you would want to lessen the hassle of things you could hold your reception the same place where you hold your wedding. Many couples have been actually doing this. It prevents the guests from transferring to another place in which they don’t know. It helps prevent the guests from getting lost.

Just make sure that the place has an adequate space to hold the tables for the guest and the catered food. Laos plan the seating arrangement based on the building’s layout, make sure that the place will not become to narrow. If it becomes too narrow when you hold the reception there too, it might be best to transfer. If you plan to have your wedding outdoors, have a backup just in case rain happens to dampen the mood. Aside from that make sure too ask the additional fees that would cost you.

The usual old school way of sitting and handling of the guests is handled by the ushers. The ushers will ask to whom family member you belong, because traditional ways have got the bride’s family to sit on the left and the groom on the right. These prevented the all out brawls for families that really don’t get along. A military wedding is worse; the seating will be according to ranks. If you want a very proper seating arrangement, plan ut very well sot that each guest will not get confused.

It is also important for the wedding planning to have a rehearsal party; this minimizes the chances of errors on the actual wedding. Most people rush the rehearsal party because they know that they will be bored again tomorrow and would like to get the dinner started. Don’t rush it, if the guests seem to be ticked off, never mind, continue to practice until everything is right for you.

You might not have the wedding of the century, but even a simple wedding can be able to bring headaches as well. To further lessen the stress factor you have during your wedding day, try to practice and plan very well.

Be Aware of Mortgage Amortization

Not everyone in this world is blessed with brains that can calculate huge amounts of money in mere seconds. Certainly, not everyone in this world is able to understand what mortgage amortization is all about.

Fortunately, that’s where we step in and explain more about mortgage amortization.

The first question: what do you mean by mortgage amortization?
Amortization is something you’ve probably studied back in college but you’ve forgotten along the way. Amortization is the term used for the payment (this is done usually on a monthly basis) of which part is meant to be deducted from the principal (the amount of loan or mortgage) while the rest covers the interest fees of the mortgage.

How do you calculate the monthly mortgage amortization payment?
Go way, way back to your college days and try to recall the answer to this question. Can’t? Well, that’s okay because you’ll be able to find lots of calculators online to help you compute this. There’s actually a mathematical formula for this but since we’ll run out of time and space if we try tackling that, too, I’ll leave that up to you to find out. Just look it up in an investment textbook and you’ll be fine.

Can all mortgages be paid by amortization?

The answer is no. This depends on the agreement you have with your mortgage company. Some borrowers simply choose to pay the capital in a straight line method then worry about the interest afterwards or do it the other way around.

Are all monthly mortgage amortization payments equal?

Again, no. And again, this depends on the agreement between you and the mortgage company. Some prefer the payments to be equal since it’s easier to compute and you need not worry if the other party is getting the better of you. But there are also some who prefer the monthly mortgage amortization payments to vary, preferably proportional to their salary increases.

Which is better, equal monthly amortization payments or varied?
The answer depends on a case-to-case-basis. Some prefer the payments to vary, however, as it gives them the option to pay off the loan in a shorter time if possible.

What is negative mortgage amortization and when does it occur?
Negative mortgage amortization occurs when your payment for a particular period is insufficient to cover everything, including interest charges. What happens then is that interest charges will be added to the total amount of the loan (the principal).

Tips When Applying for Used Car Loans

Purchasing a brand new car is totally out of the question, considering the state of your finances. Even with the help of an auto loan, it will only be possible if you work three jobs round the clock and starve yourself while you’re at it. Not a pretty picture to make, eh?
So we go to the next alternative. If you truly want to be able to drive yourself to and fro work then maybe you should consider purchasing a used car with the help of an auto loan to help tide things over during the rainy days.

Although used cars are naturally not as pretty and shiny as brand new ones, there are some that have been beautifully kept and look almost brand new – almost, that is. But if convenience and safety ranks as one of your top priorities, maybe it’s really time to consider a used car.
There are four simple issues that you must concentrate on when purchasing a used car with the help of an auto loan:

First, know what car you want. Used cars are notoriously hard to judge. Shops would’ve no doubt restored them to their original superficial beauty but what about the inside? Is the engine in perfect working order or would it collapse after going for just 500 miles?

When shopping for used cars, it will be extremely advantageous for you to bring a car expert along as he’ll able to tell you if something is drastically wrong with a vehicle. Another good way of knowing whether the used car’s worth buying and taking a car loan for is asking an insurance company to check it out.

The quotes they’ll provide you with will give you an inkling of whether it’s a good buy or something to be avoided. Furthermore, you can make a countercheck on sites that provide information about cars damaged by large scale disasters such as the World Trade Center bombings or those hit by major hurricanes.

Secondly, try asking for an extended warranty for your used car. It would be no help at all to you if car problems will add to your already powerful headaches induced by the latest car loan payments and other bills.

Knowing your credit score is absolutely crucial. I’ve given this advice over and over but I shan’t tire of repeating it because your credit score matters A LOT to car loan providers; whether you’re buying a brand new car or a used one is immaterial.

Getting the Best Out of Your Card

When one person has a credit card it is an item which must be learned to use responsibly. To some, having a credit card is a terrifying big deal. Having one means that by using it, I will now have credit history reports. If I use it improperly my record will be stained forever. One mustn’t despair totally when having a credit card. Here are some ways that you can still get the most out of it.

Use your cards wisely:
•    The important thing to remember is that you should always pay your credit card bills on time to preserve your credit rating. Always pay at least the minimum. If you would pay the credit card debt via mail, make the payment earlier.
•    Try to pay the full balance of your debt every month if possible. If it is impossible, just pay the largest amount you can pay without hurting your budget constraints. You will save money from the interest charges if you try to do this.
•    If you really can’t afford to pay the large credit amount bills, try to slow down on using your credit card. Don’t be too aggressive using your card. Learn to budget and figure out based on your income how much you can just really afford to pay.
•    Look at your monthly statements very well because there might be some mistakes that need some corrections. The credit card company will only correct these mistakes if it is brought to their attention.
•    If you have tow or more credit cards with outstanding balances, transfer them to your credit card that has the lowest interest rate. Aside from saving money, you will also have an easier time when you receive only 1 bill monthly.
•    If you have maintained a very good credit rating history you are a valuable asset. When you have, you can be able to negotiate for lower interest rates. If they still persist in giving you higher interest rates, threaten them implying you will transfer to the competitor.

Review your credit history:
•    Review your credit card history regularly. This helps because you can review if they have any inaccuracies.
•    Check your credit rating at North America’s 3 official credit bureaus Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union. Look for their local branches on the yellow pages.

Getting the right card:
•    There are now large number of credit card companies, so there is a chance that there will be 1 company that will suit your needs.
•    Look for the annual percentage rate of credit card companies. Some credit card companies will entice you by giving lower interest rates at the start but after a few months the rates will be permanently high.
•    Look for the lowest APR.
•    Try to look for cards that do not charge any annual fees. Some companies may charge annual fees because they provide added service. It is up to you if the added service is worth the annual fees.
•    Try to look at the various options the various cards now offer. Compare each one of them.

From Wedding Invitations to Catering

In a guest point of view, well in my point of view, a wedding is a long and boring event. I especially hate it when there are so many icky and mushy speeches. The only thing I look forward to is the reception. After making me wait for them, they should at least have a good food at the reception. Here are some advices that you may want to consider when choosing a caterer so that people like me will not be pissed off.

Great wedding caterers, who are pleasant, well known and have great reputations, have a very hectic schedule. Immediately after setting the wedding date book them right away.

Reputation aside, you should be able to know what caterers offer the best food. Most caterers have a picture of their previous works to give you an idea of how good and organized they are. Just be wary, if the pictures seem to be just cut outs from the internet or newspaper clippings. Those guys might just be the guys who run you’re local pizza parlor or the cafeteria ladies.

Ask them if they are able to give you a price lists of their menus and entrees. This will help so that you can be able to plan your menu at home with the budget you have. Also remember that the price quotes that have been given to you during your planning stages will be the same when the actual reception is done. Put that in contract.

Here are some other helpful things to consider:
•    The location – it would be pretty stupid of you to actually cater Chinese food from China. If you want Chinese food catered just go to the nearest China Town.
•    Transportation of food – you would probably hate it when the food you ordered would only be transported by a 10 year old kid. Try to consider if after the food has been transported it will still be warm and not spoiled. Also consider the safety of the food, as some of the food might spill.
•    Do you still need additional cooking facilities at the reception site?
•    Are the foods just frozen and microwaveable or fresh?
•    Leftovers – who keeps them?
•    Are servers included?
•    Do they have a state license?
•    The deposit that they will ask
•    Are additional decorations provided?
•    Due date of the balance
•    The catering charges – is it per plate or per person

To be able to save money here are some more advices:
•    Serve a sit down luncheon instead of a fancy dinner
•    Don’t look for foods that are probably on the other end of the world, order those that are easy to obtain.
•    Ask family and friends if they are willing to help out in serving, cleaning, and setting up.
•    Ask the caterer if you could bring some of your own food. But don’t ask too much, when you only order one item from the caterer and you bring all the food.

Those are only some advices that can help you out have better caterers at the wedding reception. It will help minimize the errors and unsatisfied guest who are waiting to eat. If you think that the caterers you chose stink, you can still save face just by making the wedding the faster to prevent boredom and hunger.
